About the Role

Camera Operators capture the visual elements of films, television shows, and videos by operating cameras and other equipment.

Setting up and operating film and video cameras with appropriate equipment
Collaborating with directors and cinematographers to achieve specific visual styles
Framing and composing shots to convey a narrative or emotion
Monitoring camera equipment during production for performance and quality
Adjusting camera settings for exposure, focus, and movement
Maintaining and troubleshooting camera equipment before and during shoots
Recording scenes according to the script and director's instructions
Participating in rehearsals to understand the movement and angles needed for shots
